Button heavy...
Ok, first off...less than 2 weeks before I go to Donna Downey! SWEET! I love her painting style so I am really excited to learn from her....eeeeeek!
Secondly, I've been MIA for good reason. Mostly because I was supremely busy this week. We got asked to do a last minute event for Jazz festival, which sounded cool...I love events...but turned out to be horrible due to the fact that there was pretty much NO preparation done by our company or the university. We were supposed to be doing pre-orders and reservations for a book that comes out in April about Lionel Hampton. it is a Borders exclusive and so I figured it would go well. They called two days before the event and asked if I would do it, the day off, i recieved ONE little sign for our booth and 2 "preview" copies of the book....totally blank inside. Yep, they wanted me to take pre orders for a blank ass book. Guess what...? we had ZERO reservations that first day. They did a poor job of coordinating it and so I declined after running it for the first day. No point in wasting time and people on something that was thrown together. So yeah, about three days went down the drain on that one...and my one and only day off. So, I've still been hard at work, blog stalking and button making! Finally have some new stuff up in etsy. Working on some more! I'm really just experimenting with colors and patterns and such right now. Still working on my clear album kit, I finally have some of the stuff I ordered to go in them... but I need to finish my example! Time...if only there was more of it!
Anyway, here are some of the buttons I made and am experimenting with...some are in etsy!

Ka-Pow
Seems I'm still working on being a more consistent blogger. Still trying to get a lot of projects wrapped up and or started. Working on some button designs! I <3 rainbows! ha ha. Its been awesome to see all the CHA pics that have been popping up all over, such cool stuff coming out. The only ones I was a little disappointed with were the newer vintage shapes from hambly (the uh, weird antique chair and furniture stuff...??? DUDE!) and some of the new elsie stuff. I love her colors in the claire and daisy line but not the line entirely. The sports one was a huge no go for me, did however like the forest line. Cool stuff. And P.S. is anyone else confused on the Justin/Jeremy situation? Oh, listen to me...I'm horrible...since when has blogging become an invitation to stalking? ha ha. But still, I mean if you introduce a character...somewhere further into the story a reader will wonder what happened to them! Right?
So Jody put up some sweet kits in her etsy last week and I'm so super slow that I barely got a whiff of them before they were gone...less than 24 hrs! I know that she plans to put up more at some point and she has some cool vintage stuff in them. She also has come up with some really neat pendants and buttons, the creativity amazes me! always something new.
I've been radically blog surfing lately. Looking for new people to stalk, new music to steal, and new ideas to spark the semi-conscious muse that lingers within. Felt sort of crummy this week, and had a HORRIBLE migraine yesterday which means accomplishing NOTHING for an entire day, so I am itching with ideas. I will try to update my list to the right here with all the people I stalk...so that everyone else may be a peeping tom.
Super excited to have scored some free tickets to Jazz festival stuff this weekend. Perks of Chris working at the hotel. And BTW we did have a great V-day. We went to my fav. restaurant called Swilly's in Pullman. They have consistently great food and great service. Hard to come by! Chris also surprised me with a really romantic hotel suite...all my favorite things, favorite food, favorite candles everywhere, bubble bath, champagne...wonderful! he worked really hard and it was super sweet. The pictures were taken just before we went to dinner! Poor puppy couldn't come :( Oh, and the ring I have on is one I bought in Seattle in September at Bumbershoot. It is made out of a piece of blown glass and a fork that has been bent around it. Super heavy but probably my most favorite piece of bling. Very artsy! Ugh, I will be doomed to another migraine if I don't catch some shut eye. Until then peeps...

Bonding
So....I had a real heart to heart with my treadmill today...because some things are going to have to change in this relationship of ours if we're going to continue on. *sigh, we decided to give it one more shot...one more chance to really spend sometime together and see if this is going to work or if I'm going to have to give it the boot. I hope this is a good thing. ha ha. So i spent 20 min on it today...about died. Haven't used the damn thing in three months...but hey, one small step at a time. Somehow I think we can salvage a good coexisting relationship. I made a good music list...music really helps keep me going. instead of counting minutes I can count songs...so I dont obsess over how long and how tired it is. If any of you have songs that spark the need to move, pass them along...love to give it a shot.
Speaking of songs, seriously obsessed with many right now, but particularly "Point of extinction" by Motion City Soundtrack. Their newest album has been fantastic. I saw them about two years ago over at WSU along with spill canvas, plain white t's, and OK GO for like 15$. It was amazing but I actually didn't care for MCS as much then. Their sound was much different. I really liked OK GO, and of course four months later they burst onto the scene at the grammys. So, my new song on the playlist is the previously mentioned one...digging it right now...so digging it.
Crafting as much as i can. Coming up with new chipboard button ideas...oh, and some freakin' sweet new colors. No more plain black and white....! i will try to keep you posted. Probably do some work on them wednesday when I have a day off. any ideas for designs you'd like to see let me know. i'm also going to start doing daily journal cards. Yes, i say I'm going to start a lot of things and then it takes me forever to put them in motion...working on it...really!

For lack of better blogging...
A whole month....MONTH...since I've blogged. How horrible. I've been busy, went on vacation in January then finished out the rest of the fiscal year...yay for goal meeting...and now that its all over with I'm pooped out. Been feeling sort of yucky lately. Trying to get lots of rest so that I can get back to being well. I have been working on things though! Promise! Also, I'm working on some kits for my etsy with clear albums but haven't got them ready yet...hopefully soon! Started my circle journal last week, I've never done one so that's exciting for me! Oh, and I'm super pumped about going to a donna downey class in Spokane next month. I "paint lift" from her often. So much amazing talent!
Well, I promise I'll be more frequent with the musings...perhaps a little deeper as well. Hope all is well on the creative front!
