Paper Pals DT cardstock only challenge:Hopefully over the next couple of days I can convince you that I'm not a total slacker. Still taking pictures of all my projects I have finally completed...so even though I'm horrible at updating, i have been doing something!

Today I

*slept in
*finished a million little projects at work
*ate a brownie for dinner
*found some new cds and bands that rock
*got to world 7 on mario 3 with 97 lives
*gave myself permission to skip dishes and laundry (even if no one else agrees)
*tried not to freak out that borders may be putting itself up for sale, and liquidating the waldenbooks division
*decided that opening a second extension of my store MUST be a good sign considering the above mentioned
*am working on reading and actually finishing another book

I decided that I'm finally coming into my own style. I had been trying to do some of the different types of layouts that i have seen...of course it looks awesome when someone else does it but not when I do. I feel like i'm just not a neat and strategically placed kind of girl. i like a mess, I like tape and paint and little random things thrown onto the page. I LIKE TO TAKE UP THE WHOLE PAGE! and i think that's ok. i will not match, and in the end they will be a heavy, wrinkled mess...and I love it.

I had an awesome time with Shawna and her fam on Friday. We had a great dinner and ice cream and then watched some reno 911 and playing super mario.

I have been uber inspired, by just about everything lately. its nice to have my mojo back. hopefully it stays awhile.

Sneak peeks!

Since I have somewhat neglected the blog over the last week, I will give a little sneak peek. I am seriously hard at work! Working on several layouts for Paper pals DT and finishing a book that I am making for my dad AND drooling over the two kits I bought from SWEETTWEELAB. they are seriously awesome and I can't wait to dig into them.

Inspired

Spent this weekend with Shawna, Estella and Lindsay in Spokane. The Donna Downey experience was awesome. What an inspiring woman! Though I would say I have a much different style than she does I still learned a lot from her, and was utterly impressed with everything. She has a wonderful sense of humor, it's like scrapping with a good friend! I had such a nice time with her and the Paper pals girls! Shawna spoiled the crap out of me this weekend and I made it back home with quite a stash of scrap supplies. Including lots of Hambly! I'm working on a mini album right now and will post pics when its up.

In other exciting news....I had some buttons featured on the front page of Etsy today! How rockin! I spent much time today oogling over some of the kits and paper packs I have wanted for awhile. Come on taxes! I'm going to splurge a little when they come in on some of the super unique things I have found. that sight is so F'ing addictive. Can't stop.

Finally!

Finally I have something to share! I've been trying to get things done the last two nights as I've felt slightly better. I'm sure staying up til the wee hours is not helping it go away any faster! But I can't stop...so much to do and only 1 1/2 days till Donna Downey! Here are my Paper Pals DT layouts:Go check out the other ones too!!!

Been sick with the flu... dying the slow death of doom. I'm such a baby when i'm sick. At work Leah was giving me pepto tablets to help calm my stomach. those didn't last long...made it worse...came back up. Of course this couldn't happen at a worse time... super freakin' busy week ahead. Be back when I am better.

News!

Just wanted to share the new launch of our design team blog for Paper Pals! We had such a great time tonight getting to know each other. We will be posting lots of projects on the blog as well as weekly challenges! Can't wait to share the new album i am making for my dad...it's something I'm excited about. His birthday is this week so I'm going to have to hustle!

Been under the weather this week, so for those of you whom I promised new things in Etsy to, like acrylic album kits...stay tuned! SO sorry for the delay. Its been such a hectic week. I really will make a note to get that up soon. One more week til Donna Downey! SO excited. Other than the fact that I have to work the next 6 days :(
