Six sentences

I am busy delving into the writing world. I am learning so much about literary non-fiction. Sometimes I feel I might explode with ideas, or perhaps crash from lack of sleep trying to pen them. Lol.

I wanted to share one of the coolest blogs ever. I've been following it for some time now, almost a year i think. it really inspires me. It's called SIX SENTENCES and i love it because it features a new passage of six sentences every day that is written by every day writers like myself. Ordinary people...extraordinary work. I was introduced to this blog through a man who came into my bookstore last year about this time. We exchanged words about our writing and reading interests and he handed me a card with the blog name and his own name so that i could look up the passage he had written that was going to be published. Read his work here: F S Hallgrimson. (you can read his other entries by clicking on the (also the author of... links at the bottom of the passage) It was such a cool connection with someone from another writing world. so, i thought in light of the one-ish year anniversary of following this I would introduce you all to it. Hopefully it will provide for you some of the inspiration that I draw from it.

One of my recent faves:

Glass House

by Paige Turner

He always shouts like a typewriter and each syllable rings hard and clean. Each name comes out thick and strong, so I know they're all meant for me. I've never met anyone who knew how to say "bitch" that way. Then his beautiful mouth, his filthy mouth, tells me how I'm precious. He holds me close and I can hear his heart; each beat rises hard and clean. I'm leaving before October starts.

6S

Paige Turner writes for a living and is infatuated with her pen name.

Button-Button-Whos got the button?

I added about 25 sets to my shop...go check them out. Lots of different stuff in there. I am probably going to be crafting a lot less for the time being. At least until I get used to all this school + full time job thing. It's been a little while. Oh, and P.S. FREE SHIPPING on buttons in my etsy until Oct. 31st!!!! Yay!

Buried in papers and reading. Of course I am loving most of it. Feeling really creative, and i wish i could extend that creativity all over. Right now it seems designated only to school and work, leaving less time for much anything else. Camera battery is dead, so no pictures to share yet. I've been meaning to charge it.

So tired...must...sleep.

No excuses!

Wow, its been forever! I was told to get with the blogging...so here i am. I am somewhat surprised that there are still a few readers out there, thanks loves! So first off, I am getting ready for a large etsy update. not totally sure when, but I want to direct your lovely attention to one of the coolest finds I have come across lately.

Tina has a flair for Gocco machines, which i totally envy because they are rad as hell and i want one but god knows I haven't the time! She also has created some stellar scrap journals. Something I have attempted to do and failed at quite a number of times. these are really really cool. check out her etsy: Greenporchlights ASAP and show the talented lady some love! (See eye candy below)

Her journals:

And dude, how clever is this?

So...WHY have I been MIA? Well call me crazy, but I decided I don't want to wait until next year to go back to school so I am currently taking 15 credits of lovely classes. Two creative non-fiction writing classes, one lovely lit, focusing on literature of the american west. and I do have one online physiological psych class that threatens to bend me over and beat me with a stick before the end of the semester. B-RU-TAL

Forgive me, I'm caffinated.

I am working...getting ready for the busiest time of the year with two businesses and 50 hr work weeks...while going to school...and doing both full time. yes, I am insane. I am aware of said insanity, please don't be alarmed.

I started taking Rachel's inspiring Journaling class earlier in August and I am still trying to finish my prompts. i will share with you the few that I have done and photographed...Be sure to check out the SHFH flickr group, there are some really talented ladies who took the class.

I will post more this week! I promise. Probably Sunday! I have photos of a NEW BIKE i want to share, among other things! Send me some love.... let me know what's going on with you. If you haven't commented on my blog I may not know who you are...and I really want to!
