A New Beginning

So um, it's been awhile! I am excited to re-enter the blogging world. And the crafting world for that matter! I have been super busy...lots of things to update.

So first...Christian and I are engaged! Whooo! He proposed on November 18th, and it was absolutely wonderful :) I am so very lucky to have met my dream man so early on in life. He keeps me grounded, he believes in me, and I can't wait to marry him. I have been waiting for some better weather to photograph my ring, so I will do that soon. It's beautiful, and PURPLE!!

Also, i managed to finish the semester with great grades. My ambition drained at the end, three 18pg non fiction papers will do that to you in a very short time. But I loved it. I'm so happy I went back.

Lost my job as of Saturday....they closed our bookstore, and it was so so so sad. What an emotional rollercoaster. I am so thankful I was able to have that job, and meet the girls on my staff who became some of my very best friends. Packing up was hard, by the last few weeks our store looked like a rummage sell and people were plain out bitches. I mean absolutely aweful, and I don't know why, but it made it all that much worse. So now, I am looking for a new job, and working very very hard on some lovely art stuff. I've decided it's time to jump off the ledge, and see if I can live the creative life. I am Hopeful. I am optimistic. I am so very inspired right now. And of course, completely terrified.

I am opening up my etsy shop again in two weeks. There will be delicious goodies in there, my spare room is filled with an army of art. I will do sneeks for the next two weeks. There will be prizes on the blog, and coupons for the new and improved store.

So, as i leave you with some photo love...I want to know what artists inspire you? Post a link in comments or post on your own blog and link me there....I want to do a series of posts on other artists who inspire me. Lets get together and share!

London: Congratulations on all the GOOD in your life: the engagement, the creativity, finding words to live by and etching those where they'll matter. And I'm soooo sorry you lost your job. It was obvious by the way you talked about it that you loved it. I'm convinced you'll find something bookish and/or creative as a means of earning a paycheck.

As for who my current favorites are, I've been a daily visitor to Flickr and am loving the work of new contacts: Check out my blog for a few new faces.
