Life Story box

Found the camera cable. here is a quick peek at a box I made this morning. It's for Kara's "Life Story" class. I used some of the layering techniques I have been learning from Dina's class. Both are so great! This took hardly any time at all! I am learning to just embrace the imperfect process of art. Sometimes I try to control the outcome a little too much, instead of just letting the work go where it wants. On this lid I just kept working until I felt satisfied with the result. It was my first try with some of these techniques so I was really pleased! it's going to hold a mini album from Kara's class and go on my newly organized bookshelf!!!

You Found Me video

I wasn't really on board with The Fray's last cd. A couple tracks were good but it didn't impress. The new album...is amazing. I mostly just wanted the "You found me" track, but fell in love with the rest. There has most certainly been an evolution in lyrics and a certain haunting darkness has crept into the music...just the way I like it! I am so loving the music and the videos.

Monday Muse

Definitely feeling the muse today. Too bad I have so much cleaning to do! However, just seeing some of this stuff makes it all worth it. I feel that flood of ideas, the swirl of colors...it's making monday's pretty uplifting.

These could be used for all kinds of things and they are really unique and bright!


We have been trying to decide how to decorate our bedroom. After 2 years in the same space we just can't decide. So I went over to Apartment Therapy and Black/White/Yellow for some home decor inspiration. Personally, I'd take any of these bedrooms. SO beautiful. However, I think the boy might find some of them a little too girly.



Check out the mobile in this kitchen. How cool would it be to look at your inspiration clippings while you eat a bowl of cereal in the morning? I think it would certainly jump start the day.

This little library is heaven. I love the colorful seating. I can't wait to fill a house with books. *sigh, Someday!!I thought this was really unique, and kind of a cool way to use lanterns in your house. the curtains are gorgeous too.


Well, until I find the battery charger for the camera I don't have any of my own pics to post today. The back office/craft room is a disaster! Working on that. So much to do today. Speaking of...better go buy some groceries! Hope you found some inspiration!

I'm back

After a nice visit with some of my family this weekend I am all ready to get back to work! Still waiting for my new debit card to come so I can order more canvas. I am ITCHING to paint some canvas right now. Can't even begin to tell you how bad!!!

This is a notebook I made for one of my friends. i made a few others...trying to collect pictures, since I didn't take any before I gave them all away!! Silly me. So, what do we think of this?


These are my new fav buttons! They are from various elements, including a magazine ad! I put them against craft paper so you could see all the overlays and such!

Monday Muse

Shop is updated!

Well, the lovelies are all bundled like gifts and the shop is fully updated! I am still constantly working on new ideas. Some new notebooks and altered moleskin journals will be in the shop shortly! You could put any photo of you and a loved one inside! love it!and another from Once Wed. This is a really cool garland. I love that there are pieces of sheet music in there. Craftyness=good

Yes, crafting = sanity. At least right now. Plus, new music helps. I love finding new artists. AND rumor has it that JACK'S MANNEQUIN is going to be in Spokane in April. Um, sign me up! I am there! I loved Something Corporate, i wish they would record again, but still...I love J.M. too.

So, have we been dreaming up colors lately? I am really into bright colors right now. Not sure why. I am making some mini ephemera journals. How fun.
