February Promo and other announcements

Hey everyone! I have been preparing goodies for the new DT members this weekend and catching up on lots of crafty projects. I have notified all the applicants of their status and will post the creative team on Friday. Let me just say...notifying people who did not make it on the team is the hardest part of this process. It's my least favorite. I know how hard it is to put yourself and your creative work out there, and it can be tough to not feel rejected. I've applied to several manufacturer and web design teams and not made a single one! Since I cut the size of the team down to 4 people this time it was even harder to choose, but for those of you who applied and were not able to be on the team I want you all to know that I hope you keep putting yourself out there. I hope you keep creating because you love it...regardless of what anyone else says. The intention of the blog and the button shop is to inspire creativity of all kinds, I hope it does.

I've learned a lot over the past year, and one thing I learned was to plan ahead. I sat down back in December and made a month by month plan for the shop this year. Goal setting is really important for me, otherwise I feel overwhelmed. Each month I will have 2-3 new button designs that will go in the shop as well as one other new item such as a jewelry piece or painting. I hope to keep things fresh and inspiring. Most importantly each month will have a promotion...who doesn't love a good deal? In the past I've done free shipping and B3G4th free promos...well, stay tuned for more sales and steals this year!

Now, for the eye candy. Februrary's Promo is B1G1 50% off on ALL JEWELRY!!! New rings, pendant necklaces and even some cute post earrings are part of this promo!

And some of the new February buttons that are new:

Leopard Print! These can be made in other colors too! (Like pink!)
Zebra stripe!
Citrus handpainted buttons
Remember these? Yes, the recycled playing card buttons are back! Cute on valentines!
I'm also starting a new collection of paintings, and completed two this week. The whole collection should be done by April. Perhaps I'll share some previews along the way?

My Dad is coming up this next weekend to help with wedding stuff. With Chris opening the new hotel in T-4 days it will be (and has been) difficult for him to help make decisions. Plus, I'm still in need of a dress. My dad has generously offered to buy me a gown, and I'm pretty sure I've found the dream dress. We also have a HUGE list of things to look at, things to price and hopefully the person from Columbia City theater will send me the rates so I can make the decision of the venue! I promise to post pictures of the shopping venture, as well as more creative posts this week. It's going to be a good one!!!

Give away winner!!!

Congrats Jazzii! Email me your address to suchsweettierney[at!]gmail.com!

If you didn't win :( [sad face] don't worry...there will be more giveaways soon! Great accomplishments by the way! Some of you have made it through some tough stuff this last year, and I'm so proud of you for sticking through it!

Last night I had a date with the cutest intern ever! She'll be here in T-minus 6 months! Yes, I still use MSN, I haven't tried Skype yet but I think I will. Today we have another webcam date with the whole group, and I've been promised virtual cake. Have a happy Sunday!

Giveaway!

We've been working on re-organizing the apartment, and slowly it's all coming together. Getting a functional office/craft space is hard to do but thanks to the magical land of Ikea I think we're finally achieving what we want. I'll post pictures when it's done!

Today, in the absence of photos, I thought it might be fun to do a giveaway! I don't know about all of you, but I hate making resolutions...I find that I don't stick to them. What I do believe in is setting goals (not because we feel obligated to but because we want to) and striving to reach them. I don't know if you remember this post...with my 24 things? Well, those ARE my resolutions for the year. All 24 are goals for the year, which is now half way over.

If you'd like to win some free stuff...(come on, you know you do!) Leave me a comment with a goal you have accomplished in the last year! Here's what you could win:xo,
London

signs of productivity

Let's face it, my new year's resolution of blogging more is not off to the best start. Can I have a do-over? Our house has been filled with lovely guests since December, and the distraction was well appreciated, but perhaps less productive.

This week I finished some Valentine's Day buttons, five mini albums (for lovely dear friends) and am now working on two custom/wholesale orders and more jewelry for the shop. In the midst of this I have a terrible cold that has me reaching for the tissue box every few minutes.

So, to prove I've been productive how about a little show and tell???

Cupid's Arrow buttons:
Custom order for a scrap kit to match the new Origins line from Basic Grey:

Cute Mini album (I made four duplicates!) I know, it looks like the "fall favorites" one I created a while back, but I love the size! So fun to create them! If you are offended by foul language of any kind, then the last page is not for you! Scroll carefully! Sorry, we thought it was sort of funny and wanted to include it...but it's not meant to offend anyone!

What I've been doing...

I have had several lovely house guests over the last week, and plenty of projects to keep me busy...but I still owe you a mighty long post about my 2009 favs ;) For now I'll share with you a few completed projects!

The new Snowfall button collection:
I am also part of a show called "Not You" which opens next weekend (16th) in Atlanta, GA at Mint Gallery

This is a self portrait show that Travis smith invited me to be in...I love his quirky robot paintings and hope to own one very soon! Here is the piece I contributed:

I'm so excited to be part of the show. I'll post more photos when it opens next weekend. Hope you all are having a great week!
